I remember laying in bed that night, staring at the ceiling, making shapes out of the cracks as I fell asleep. Next I knew, I was standing on a hill, surrounded by nothing. Not the kind of nothing that reminds you of being surrounded by the emptiness of air, or the vacuum of space, but a deep dark nothingness. The kind of pitch black nothing that makes you feel if you tried to reach out and touch it, you'd hit a wall, even though you knew without any doubt, that nothing was actually there. A darkness so thick, you felt it would crush you to your very soul, yet at the same time, so weak, the smallest pinprick of light would disperse every last bit of it. I don't know how long I stood there waiting, expecting something to happen, expecting the world I was in to change, but nothing happened. Whether minutes, hours, or years had passed, I did not know. I decided to walk through the darkness, in hopes of finding something, anything. When I took the first step, I stopped suddenly, everything had changed. The darkness was gone in the blink of an eye, replaced by a landscape so vivid, the colors themself seemed alive. Slowly, I took another step, and again, everything changed, though this time it was subtle. Parts of the horizon that had been blurred became sharp, while others disappeared all together. Certain of parts of the landscape had become brighter, others darker. I began to walk, slowly at first as I paused to take in each change, searching for something that would explain were I was.

-Updates

2/18/2008 - Hey, I'm back. It's been way too long since I've been here to update. I have quite a bit to upload, but I don't have it all setup at the moment, so its just gonna put up as I get it done. Once all of that is taken care of, I might change some things with the site, but we'll see when that time comes. For now, I should be posting content at least once a week if not more. Getting back in the flow of writing, yay. Right now I've uploaded a bunch of devotionals, October 2006 - March 2007, as well as alot of spell check and grammar fixes throughout the stories and poems, at least the ones I've caught for now. A few of the devotionals I've uploaded will change in the next few days. I've noticed some things I forgot to correct and don't have time at the moment, but since they are already posted I'll leave them there for now. Anyways, I'll be back througout the week with more stuff, most likely devotionals for now till I get caught up. See you then.

11/11/2006 - So if anyone looked at my website recently they saw a white page here in random html code instead of this nice looking one. That's what I get for trying to do an update in wordpad instead of dreamweaver, heh. Anyways, no real update. I don't want to update until my net is stable otherwise is a major hassle. Just trying to rush this one while I have some kind of connection. Also I just want a personal break for awhile. Don't expect an update this Wednsday or next. I just want a break plus there's more midterms and finals coming way untill after Thanksgiving. A break will be nice. Anyways see you next time I have decent material. I promise no later than the third Wendsday from today.

11/3/2006 - My internet has been very bad lately. I'm still waiting on my dsl, over a month of waiting now. I haven't been able to get online other than aim, google won't even load. I wish I could say this was why I can't update, which would be true if I had stuff to update but I don't. Wendsday though, expect at least one poem, at least one short story, at least one chapter of Beginning With Rain, November devotionals, a new section for miscellaneous stuff, and possibly a few other goodies. Almost every page will be getting changes to them. Nothing major. I just spell checked and proofread everything by hand, so its mainly just grammar changes.

10/25/2006 - I said I'd update each week and I am, never said it would be a big one though. Just one poem, Temptaion and Failure has been added. Next week, if all goes as planned, there should be a hefty update.

10/18/2006 - Long overdue update. Been alot busier than I thought I was going to be over summer break and beginning of the school year. I've now settled into a pretty decent schedule. The website will now be updating with new content every Wendsday, normally in the afternoon, but possibly anywhere from when I wake up to when I go to sleep on Wendsday. I'll try to have a new chapter for whatever my current project is every week, but I'm only going to guarentee one every two weeks. Other than that poems and other stories will be added as I get to them. I'm also adding a new section, Devotionals, go to it for more on that. I've stopped The Journal of Marcus Lucosta for now. I will get back to it in time, but there is more I want to do to it that I don't have time for with everything else. For this update I'll be posting one poem, The Dance, devotionals from October, and the third chapter of Beginning With Rain, which happens to be the longest yet. By the way, anytime I post something with reference to a picture or artist or anything at all, just google for it, you'll find it. I like to keep links to a minimum if any. See you next week.

8/19/2006 - Nothing really, just a poem called Someday. Someday things will change I hope. Anyways, chapter three of Beginning With Rain will be done soon.

8/6/2006 - I should really write and update more frequently. At least things are getting done slowly. Added one poem Dreams and one short story Traveling.

7/8/2006 - Long due update again. Things are finally slowing down into routine and my writing should pick up. Added the second chapter to Beginning With Rain and the first two weeks of The Journal of Marcus Lucosta. Also the site has been spell checked and grammer checked though I'm sure there are still plenty of errors.

6/7/2006 - Sorry for the long update, things have been busy. Finals are next week so I probably won't update for another three weeks. Have to study, then I need to prepare for summer. After that though things should become pretty constant, I've created a schedule that sets aside time for writing this summer. For now though, I've add one poem, Look Beyond, and the first chapter to my latest endeavor, Beginning With Rain. (Yes I know there are a lot of spelling errors in my site, I don't have a program that spell checks but I will be getting one soon.)

5/18/2006 - Added two short stories, Rocketry Dreams and Halloween Treat, as well as one poem, Without Voices.

5/10/2006 - Welcome to my site, it's just now been put up. It's mainly to motivate myself to write more, hopefully it will work. Anyways there's only a few things up at the moment, and I will have more in a few days as I write them and type them up. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
